So, we all know about dating simulators and visual novels about being in a romantic relationship with various different types of candidates. Well, I was thinking about creating a game that deals more with relationships not just the romantic parts. Of course, this idea has already been done, with things such as Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon. But, has it really? Yes, I’m talking about making friends and or romantic partners, but I am also talking about including about making enemies.

There would be a scale that would include relationship points that, for example, would go up to 20, but there would also be a maximum of the opposite number- so negative 20. Players would start at 0 with people and either go up or down depending on the gifts, the interactions, and a couple of other little bits and pieces.

Of course, if you make enemies with some people it could unintentionally make enemies or decrease relationship points for other people. Say, you become enemies with someone’s best friend; your new enemy would probably tell their best friend about you and what you did to them. Thus, giving you a couple of negative relationship points with that person. And of course, this would work the other way as well. If you become good friends with someone, they would tell their friend about you in a positive light, giving you positive relationship points with both characters.

You also might be thinking, ‘Well if you can influence characters to like and hate you through others, do you think you can influence characters to like and hate each other’? I think that would be an idea to have! I think the main idea of this whole game would have relationships with all the people of the town, so I think it would be a fun idea to have in the main game!

Being able a game all about building relationships with others in a place of your own might help others with social anxiety, social interaction problems, and things like that. I just think this would be a fun game idea that I have been working on for a couple of years now and there might be some sketches somewhere around my room about this game concept if anyone is curious about it!

Although, I would love some opinions on the matter! Do you all think it would be a fun idea to create?

Dark Doll Story

3 min read
I just want to write this down somewhere so I can have second opinions and such.

For my dark doll character (I still have not thought up a name for her yet if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!).

This character was not always a rag doll. She was a fairly normal girl growing up in a world where the light and the dark are separate kingdoms. But one day she appears on her father's front step, battered and broken. Her right eye gone, her heart torn out of her chest, and unresponsive. Her father, Professor Execution, takes her to his lab under their home. He has no other choice, his daughter was his whole world; his reason he keeps doing the things he does. He decides to take action. The professor set his child's corpse on the metal table, spread out 'materials' from his last trip into town, and took out his spellbook. He had been practicing these spells since a young boy before he made himself immortal. But now, now he had to do a spell he had done many times before, but yet, a new spell he was unsure of. An anthropomorphic spell- not on one of his dark creatures, but on his own daughter. His hands shook, he wasn't ready for this, but what other option was there? Words poured out of his mouth. Darkness filled the room. The lifeless body was not visible anymore. Only an hour passes, but it felt like days to the heartbroken man until he finally heard a small voice whisper, "D... daddy?"

Years pass. She doesn't remember anything before her father holding her in the lab. All she knows is the doll life she is been accustomed to. It's hard at times, but because of the darkness that created her form, she is able to currently use simple dark magic for everyday use. This included things like holding objects because of her lack of human-like hands. Her father usually keeps her inside, and only on special occasions is she allowed outside but she is always accompanied- either by her father, a dark creature, or the recent creations that her father taught her about. Because she was never allowed to make friends or have any social interaction with anyone besides her father, and the dark creatures were never good at conversation, her father taught her about the dark anthropomorphic spell. She took up sewing and created adorable stuffed creatures that she brought to life with her father's help. But something in the back of her mind was telling her, that it wasn't enough. They temporarily moved into a comfy little cottage in the middle of the woods where no one would bother her father and his research. She would leave with one of her stuffed creations (never with a dark monster) and go to a secret part of the forest where the light reaches past the trees onto the forest floor. In the middle of this hideaway is a beautiful cherry tree and flowers gathered all around it. What she didn't realize was the unfamiliar set of eyes watching her.

I have more ideas of the story in my head, but that's pretty much where I've gotten to.
